SurgicEye at AIMN Workshop in Pisa on November 24-26
Sunday, 07 November 2010 09:45

SurgicEye GmbH presented its 3-D imaging and navigation device declipseSPECT at the Radioguided Surgery Workshop of the AIMN (Italian association of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging) in Pisa on November 24-26, 2010 at the Azienda Universitaria Ospedaliera Pisana (AOUP).

declipseSPECT is the first intra-operative device providing 3-D imaging and navigation during surgery. 3-D imaging and navigation make surgical interventions safer and more reliable. declipseSPECT is currently used in hospitals in Germany and Italy to treat Skin cancers and Breast cancers.

This technology extends one dimensional gamma probes to a two or three dimensional imaging system (equivalent to SPECT) which can be flexibly used in the OR with very little alteration to radio-guided procedures such as sentinel lymph node biopsy or primary tumors resection.

The Workshop "Chirurgia radioguidata - IV Corso Residenziale Teorico-Pratico" of the Italian association of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging (AIMN) was held at:
