German business magazine Handelsblatt reports on SurgicEye’s business plan. The article covers the topic of business plan contests, where start-up entrepreneurs can test the power of their concepts. This is what co-founders Dr. Joerg Traub and Thomas Wendler did:
In the midst of starting their company, they handed in their business model at Münchner Business Plan Wettbewerb (MBPW, Munich Business Plan Contest). On top of receiving a lot of honest feedback, Traub and Wendler also had the opportunity to take part in weekly seminars on legal foundations, marketing and budgeting. Taking part in the competition paid off: SurgicEye was one of the winning teams of MBPW, receiving a 10,000 Euro purse as well as quickening interest of external investors.
